Hello Hello!  I’m so glad to have you here!  My name is Robin and I am a Junior/Senior High School Mathematics teacher in a small public rural school in Pennsylvania.  I am happily married for over 16 years and have 2 beautiful daughters!  They are the reason behind everything I do.

I wanted to start Round Robin Math because as a teacher I am constantly looking for new resources to use in my classroom.

Are you ready for this?

I teach wait for it…………………………………………………

6 DIFFERENT MATHEMATICS CLASSES FROM 8TH THROUGH 12TH GRADE!

I didn’t mean to yell at you there!

This is my past schedule for the 2018-2019 school year.   Each year my schedule changes but this is the majority of the classes I teach each year:

  • 8th-grade math
  • Algebra I
  • Algebra IB
  • Algebra II
  • Algebra III/Trigonometry
  • Calculus

I wanted to create this blog because every time I am planning my classes and want to find resources specifically for Pennsylvania, I can’t find exactly what I want all the time.  Now don’t get me wrong, I follow a ton of great mathematics teaching blogs and they have wonderful resources which I most definitely use. However, I find myself always wanting to tweak a resource (most likely due to class size/time)  or wanting to create my own.  This blog is going to hold me accountable for creating more of my very own teaching resources and having a place to document it all for you!

There will be FREEBIES, a link to my future Teacher Pay Teacher store, and a HUGE goal of mine is to create a course for parents and students who struggle with any type of mathematics.  I want to give students the tools and tips to help them become better mathematicians.  I want parents to know that it is not always easy when their student doesn’t understand the mathematics content and that they can help them, even if they don’t remember anything from school!

I also love to decorate, shop for decorations, and try my hand at DIY!  Well, who am I kidding?  My husband is an Industrial Arts teacher, so he is my DIY guy, and I just tell him (or do I mean nag him) what I want him to make!  Usually 99% of the time he makes it happen!

So that is why I named my blog, Round Robin Math because it will be a round robin of topics so to speak.  I am also very random and I have a bad tendency to repeat myself.  Hey, at least I recognize one of my many flaws! HaHa!

So random, repetitive topics on all things teaching, home decor, DIY, and whatever else floats into my head that day!

Stay Tuned to see where this little blog takes me.  I am super excited, to say the least!

Hi, I'm Robin

If you want help with all things math you're in the right place!

I have 19 + years of experience as a secondary mathematics teacher.

I know what it’s like to not have time to create engaging resources that your students will actually love!

But it wasn't always this way...

I was struggling with keeping my students engaged and motivated in my classroom.  I would have students that wouldn’t do any work in my class period.  That’s why I started creating my own resources that kept students engaged and they enjoyed the math that they were doing!

It's not your fault if your students aren't highly engaged in your classroom!

I have had all different types of students over the years.   One thing I have noticed is that the textbook that comes with your curriculum isn’t enough!  That’s why I created secondary math resources to supplement or replace your curriculum that you have! These resources are guaranteed to engage your students and help them not see math as a punishment!

I can help you stop wasting time searching for math resources that your students will actually beg you to do day after day!
